The research behind the approach

Start with what
your team knows.
Add what matters now.

An earlier assessment, a paused proposal or a known platform changes the approach. We combine your account history with current company research to qualify accounts and write messages that reflect what has already been discussed.

Your team receives the reply with the account context in your CRM.

Your CRM

Past proposals, assessment findings, software evaluations, account owners and active relationships.

Your private and licensed sources

Customer requests your team holds, licensed research, event notes and relevant technical data from earlier engagements.

Public company research

Reports, completed acquisitions, accounting methods, leadership responsibilities and published project plans.

Research, messages and replies stay with the account in your CRM, using your fields, naming conventions and data standards.

Reasons to look closer

Find the work
behind the commitment.

A relevant signal connects a company’s situation to something you sell. We look for the documented work and the people involved, then use that context in the approach.

01

A published procurement notice

An RFP names the required assessment, reporting support or software capability, along with scope and timing.

Match the requested work to your services, credentials and delivery capacity.

02

An acquisition or inventory change

Company announcements and reports show completed transactions, boundary changes or revised accounting methods.

Connect group changes to your inventory, consolidation or data-governance offer.

03

A defined reporting or target project

A company describes its reporting programme, target-setting work or supplier-engagement plans.

Lead with the relevant deliverable: reporting support, target development or supplier data.

04

An existing project in your CRM

A past proposal, assessment or software evaluation records the scope, people involved and reason it paused.

Revisit the original need with current context and a specific next step.

The SBTi target dashboard distinguishes commitments and validated targets. We check the exact status before using it.

Hi Jane,

I was reading your half-year results and saw that integration of the acquired food business is underway.

We help food groups define entity boundaries and consolidate their inventories. For a multinational fruit group, we assessed six companies across five countries and produced one group baseline, including the treatment of intercompany purchases.

If that work is still in scope, would the published case be useful?

At the reply, we pause outreach and hand the conversation and research to your advisory partner for scoping.

Simplified, anonymised research and illustrative messages. Client campaigns go deeper, with research sources, qualification criteria, tone, language and workflows tailored to your business.
Across the sales calendar

Make every approach
carry the context.

Reach new accounts, support your event plans and revisit earlier opportunities. Each campaign uses a different starting point.

01 / COLD OUTREACH

Start with a reason.

Connect your offer to a specific company situation. Reach the responsible person with an opening they can answer.

02 / EVENT CAMPAIGNS

Give the event a purpose.

For events such as Sustainability LIVE, use public speaker information and event records your team holds to identify relevant contacts. Run outreach before the event and follow up from your team’s actual conversation notes.

03 / CRM REACTIVATION

Revisit the unfinished work.

Return to deferred proposals and earlier software evaluations with updated research. Use the original scope and reason for delay to write a relevant new approach.

A few useful answers

Before we talk.

Are you a broker or intermediary?

No. You own every buyer relationship. We work as an extension of your team, using research, outreach strategies and the right tools to help you sell your products and services. We focus on results and keep costs in check.

Which sustainability businesses is this for?

Specialist advisory practices and software vendors selling to corporate teams. That includes GHG inventories, reporting and assurance readiness, target setting, life-cycle assessment, supply-chain sustainability, strategy, and carbon accounting or ESG reporting software. We scope each campaign to a specific offering and the markets you can serve.

Our practice grows through referrals. Where does this fit?

Alongside the relationships that already bring you work. We research a selective set of accounts and run outreach in your firm’s voice. Your partners shape the approach with us, then take over when prospects reply. Targeting reflects your sector expertise, delivery capacity and the size of engagement you want to win.

Can you support an existing SDR or AE team?

Yes. We research accounts and relevant contacts, then run email and LinkedIn outreach around your territories and account ownership. Replies reach the assigned rep with the research and communication history in your CRM. Your team leads demos, calls and commercial conversations.

How do you qualify target accounts?

We connect your offer to documented company activity: reporting methods, acquisitions, published project plans, target status and relevant procurement notices. Sector, geography, group structure and your account history help us assess fit. We distinguish a relevant reason to approach a company from evidence of an open buying process.

How do you handle changing reporting rules and climate targets?

We check the reporting entity, jurisdiction, current rules and reporting period before using a requirement in outreach. EU reporting scope has changed under Omnibus, so older CSRD timelines are not a reliable targeting shortcut. For SBTi, we distinguish a commitment to develop targets from validated targets, and check which target and scope the status covers.

Can you establish whether a company needs our adviser or software?

Research identifies a credible fit and a useful opening. Your team establishes the remaining technical work, current advisers or systems, budget and timing through the conversation. An acquisition or recalculated inventory does not establish a need to change providers. We keep corporate accounting, product footprints and shipment-level calculations distinct when positioning software.

Which people do you approach?

The offer determines the role. An inventory project may involve sustainability reporting and finance; supplier engagement can involve procurement; software evaluation can bring in data and IT teams. We research responsibilities, company structure and contact details, using your account history to identify the most relevant starting point.

Can you use our CRM and private data?

Yes. Past proposals, assessment findings, demo notes, known tools and advisers, and licensed research your team holds can improve qualification and messaging. We combine that context with current public research.

All research, messages, replies and communication history sync to your CRM. We create and update records according to your fields, naming conventions and data standards.

Can you exclude existing clients and active opportunities?

Yes. We agree exclusions with you and use your CRM to protect existing clients, active opportunities and other accounts you do not want contacted. Partners and reps keep ownership of their accounts throughout the campaign.

Can you reactivate stalled opportunities?

Yes. Deferred advisory proposals, earlier software evaluations and event conversations can form a separate campaign. We use the original scope and notes, refresh the account research, and approach the relevant contact with a reason to revisit the discussion.

How do you keep the messages specific to our offer?

We learn what you sell, who it helps and which customer references we can use. Every message connects those details to the buyer’s situation, in your voice. You review the approach with us before the campaign starts.

What happens when someone replies?

We pause the outreach sequence and hand the conversation to your team, with the research and communication history synced to your CRM. Your partners or reps handle the discussion, arrange meetings and assess the technical and commercial fit.

How do we measure the pilot, and what does it cost?

We scope and price the pilot with you around your offer, priorities, target accounts and budget. Research depth, sources, qualification criteria, tone, language and campaign workflows determine the work involved. We agree success measures before launch, including relevant replies and sales opportunities, and refine the campaign using your team’s feedback.

Pilot results guide the next campaigns and a month-to-month plan, with ongoing support and ROI reviews. Every engagement is a white-glove service: we run the research and outreach for you.
