Waste Expo Australia 2026

Waste Expo Australia is a free-to-attend, trade-only exhibition on waste management, recycling and resource recovery at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, co-located with All-Energy Australia, with a separately ticketed Greener Infrastructure Conference track running alongside it. It gathers Australian government waste officials, service providers, and equipment suppliers under one roof, trade-only rather than a public consumer event.

01 / Make the call

Is this the right room?

Emitree's assessment of audience fit. Conference access does not establish buying intent or guarantee meetings.

Consider it if

You sell recycling, resource-recovery, or waste-to-value technology, EPR compliance services, or circular-economy consulting to Australian councils, waste operators, or infrastructure buyers. The floor is trade-only, mixing government procurement with private-sector operators.

Consider another event if

Your product targets consumer packaging brands or global CPG sustainability teams rather than waste-sector operators and government. The audience skews toward operations and public-sector infrastructure buyers.

02 / Understand the audience

Who attends

The organizer's 2026 projection is 3,500-plus industry connections, 140-plus exhibitors, and 110-plus speakers across three conference stages; these are stated targets, not audited actuals, since no verified prior-year attendance figures were found on the official site. The organizer describes attendees as local, state and federal government officials, waste service providers, consultants, engineers, technology and equipment suppliers, project developers, facility managers, landfill owners and operators, and NGOs, spanning both public and private sectors; general public entry is excluded.

How large is the event?

Organizer-stated 2026 target is 3,500-plus attendees and 140-plus exhibitors. No independently audited actual attendance figure for this or a prior edition was found on the official event site, so these numbers should be read as the organizer's projection rather than a verified result.

The practical questions

Before you decide

Is Waste Expo Australia 2026 still upcoming?

This edition is listed for October 28–29, 2026. Check the organizer's page for changes before booking.

Where can I find the Waste Expo Australia exhibitor list?

We have not linked a public exhibitor directory for this edition. Ask the organizer about current directories and attendee access.

Does a company listing confirm who will attend?

A sponsor, exhibitor or speaker listing establishes that published role. It does not establish which employees will attend or whether they are buying. Previous-edition examples remain historical.

How can Emitree help with Waste Expo Australia?

We research relevant accounts using public conference sources and any lists you provide. We qualify the accounts against your offer, run agreed outreach and record replies and meetings in your CRM.
