Plastics recycling events suit resin suppliers, recyclers and converters. Research polymer, quality, certification and end-market specifications before contacting a potential materials buyer.

Packaging compliance and design

Packaging forums can reach brand teams managing design and compliance. A machinery buyer, a recycled-content buyer and a packaging-data owner may work for the same company but need different proposals.

Qualify reuse opportunities

A circular economy agenda does not establish demand for your reuse model. Check operating geography, return logistics and the team responsible for packaging systems before planning a meeting.

Europe's circular-economy and waste/water trade fair in Rimini, with an enormous but mostly Italian and industrial footfall. The cheap public ticket is a false signal, since real access to buyers requires a stand, a national-pavilion slot, or hosted-buyer status.

Who’s there: Waste and recycling operators, water utilities, municipalities, industrial groups, and equipment makers. Italian and Euro-Mediterranean, about 9-10% international skewing Iberia, the Balkans, Turkey, and North Africa. Buyers buy plant and machinery, not offsets or reporting suites.
Go if: You serve industrial, waste, water, or municipal clients in Southern Europe or MENA and will exhibit, or you sell EPR, waste-traceability, or LCA software to regulated operators, or you qualify as a hosted buyer, in which case it's nearly free.

Skip if: Your buyers are corporate net-zero teams in North America or Northern Europe, or you planned to attend on a cheap ticket without a stand.
Scale: 'Over 108,800 participants' is cited for 'the last edition' with no year attributed (the 2024 attribution can no longer be re-verified; its press release 404s). 'Participants' counts attendance events including exhibitor staff and students. 1,700+ exhibiting brands and 800+ hosted buyers from 65 countries per the 2025 release.
Tickets: Tickets are trivially cheap: 15 euros for 1 day, 30 euros for 2 days pre-booked online, 35/45 euros on-site, though the ticket page still carries the prior edition's date windows until IEG re-dates the table around late September. The real cost is a stand: no official rate card, but national-pavilion benchmarks run about 350-500 euros per square meter all-in. Hosted buyers attend free with accommodation support.
Access & notes: 29th edition, Tuesday-Friday, 4 real days; Friday is the light and student day. Conference content is largely in Italian, with about 1.5-2 days' worth in English. One registration covers three co-located events: the Plastics Recycling Conference, the Resource Recycling Conference, and the Textile Recovery Summit, plus the APR Spring Member Meeting for APR members.

Who’s there: The organizer markets 2,500+ attendees and 250+ exhibitors across the combined PRC/RRC/TRS event, drawn from plastics processors, converters, global consumer brands, resin manufacturers, trade groups, sustainability and policy teams, and materials-recovery operators. The "Who Attends Our Conferences" breakdown is published only as an infographic image, so no numeric role or seniority split could be extracted as text.
Go if: You sell into EPR compliance, recycled-content sourcing, plastics or textile recycling technology, or circular packaging supply chains. One registration covers all three co-located conferences (plastics, broader recycling, and textiles), and the published 2027 topic list centers on EPR implementation, design-for-recyclability, tariffs, and global trade shifts, so the room is buyers working those exact problems.

Skip if: Your product has nothing to do with plastics, packaging, textiles, or materials recovery, or you need APR-member-only access outside the paid conference. This is a vertical trade event for the recycling value chain, not a general sustainability or ESG audience.

Billed by its organizer as the largest dedicated exhibition, conference and awards for plastics recycling in the world, covering the full chain from design for recycling through collection, sorting and recycling to recycled polymer going into new products. Crain Communications (Sustainable Plastics) produces it with the Plastics Recyclers Europe trade association. The 2027 show runs at RAI Amsterdam on 29 June (9am to 5.30pm) and 30 June (9am to 5pm), after the 10th anniversary edition held in Amsterdam in May 2026.

Who’s there: Plastic recyclers and material suppliers, recycling machinery and equipment vendors, pre-processors, handling and logistics providers, waste management firms, local authorities, and project management consultants, per the event's own visitor breakdown. The 2027 program adds a textiles recycling feature alongside the two-theater conference and the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe. Visitors to the 2026 edition came from 109 countries. Entry is trade only: you need a pre-registered visitor or exhibitor badge, no one under 16 is admitted, and non-exhibiting companies are asked not to solicit business on the floor.
Go if: You sell recycled materials, sorting or recycling machinery, recycled-content verification, or services into the plastics and packaging circularity supply chain, and you want the largest concentration of that value chain in one European venue.

Skip if: Your buyers sit outside plastics and packaging circularity, in carbon markets or renewables for example. The show is scoped to plastics recycling and those buyers will not be in the room.
Scale: No exhibitor or attendee totals are published for 2027. The organizer describes PRSE as the largest dedicated plastics recycling exhibition, conference and awards in the world, and its Visit page reports that 2026 visitors represented 109 countries. The May 2026 show was the 10th anniversary edition; 2027 is the 11th.
